"I am a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That's me."

Source: Private/Mom's scrapbook

So that post I was excited about? Well here it is.

I'm pretty much keeper of my family's old photos. As a photographer I tend to get the responsibility, not that I mind. I actually really enjoy looking through them and planning archival projects. These photos are part of our family collection.

This is my mother in the 80's. I got her permission and I'm super thrilled because I think she's incredibly inspiring. In high school she got a mohawk (as seen in the first photo), pierced her nose in a mall bathroom and made most of her own clothing. In general, I think she's inspiring because-well, she's gorgeous. Though she might disagree I've always been adamant that my mom is beautiful.

I wanted to share these all with you because I get so much inspiration at looking at these photos. I do wish I had been able to find a better photo of her mohawk but I've included the first one anyway.

Needless to say, I'd really appreciate it if these photos remained on my blog.

  1. Knew it was the 80s! For some reason at first I thought these photos were of some 80s actress, until I read that it was your mom! Your mom is gorgeous!
